Marc Brungger, Chief Executive Officer
Marc Brungger is Spireon’s Chief Executive Officer. He joined Spireon June 10th, 2013 and is based at Spireon’s Technology Center in Irvine, California.
Prior to Spireon, Brungger served as Vice President of Finance for Mitchell International followed by an appointment to Executive Vice President, APD, where he oversaw the Mitchell auto physical damage division managing Sales, Product Management, Technology Delivery, Client Services, Customer Service, and Content Departments. During his tenure, Brungger was instrumental in transforming APD’s product offering over a 3-year period. In the process he consolidated over 40 individual products into a single technology platform with two major customer-facing environments WorkCenter and RepairCenter.
Throughout his 20 + year career at Mitchell, Brungger contributed to the company’s success serving in various key executive capacities including Vice President and General Manager of Mitchell Publications, General Manager of Global Operations and then, assuming command of the Collision Repair Solutions division. In this position, Brungger delivered advanced information, estimating, workflow, and business management solutions to Mitchell's valued body shop clients. In early 2006, Marc was promoted to Senior Vice President Client Services, which included Small Business Sales and Mitchell's Service Organization, with well over 200 dedicated service employees.
Before joining Mitchell, Brungger honed his management and finance skills in the banking industry and his insight into technology markets working for HP Computer (then known as Digital). Brungger is a native of Switzerland.
Brungger earned his BA from the Alpine College of Davos, Switzerland.
Tim Welch, Chief Operations Officer/Executive Vice President, Shared Services
As the Chief Operating Officer and EVP of Share Services for Spireon, Inc., Tim Welch oversees the daily operations of the company including product planning, purchasing, financial performance, partnership development, contract management, logistics, customer support, and sales. Prior to joining the Spireon management team, Welch served as the Chief Executive Officer for ProconGPS Inc., a company he was instrumental in launching. During his tenure there, the company grew to over 60% market share in the GPS Vehicle Finance Industry while increasing profits over 200%.
Prior to joining ProconGPS Inc., Welch spent seven years at Philips Consumer Electronics Company where he was responsible for over $1 billion in finished goods purchasing, and managed the Philips warehousing and transportation budget of over $80 million. His other previous positions include a tenure at Saturn Corporation where he designed state of the art just-in- time logistics systems and processes for General Motors new Saturn manufacturing facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Tim has a B.S. in Marketing and an MBA in Logistics from the University of Tennessee.
Brad Jarvis, Chief Marketing Officer
As the Chief Marketing Officer for Spireon, Inc., Brad Jarvis oversees all marketing functions and programs for the company and its comprehensive family of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and Business Intelligence Solutions. Following the merger between ProconGPS, Enfotrace GPS, Inc. and Procon Fleet Services, LLC., Brad was instrumental in developing and launching the bold new Spireon corporate identity and brand which has since gained significant recognition across the multiple vertical industries the company serves.
A senior global marketing executive, Jarvis has contributed to the rapid growth of a number of companies through innovative products, brands and initiatives. Jarvis’ previous experience includes his tenure as the Vice President of Global Marketing for HID Global, and as the head of product marketing for Printronix, an auto identification and logistics company as well as Lantronix, a provider of embedded device networking solutions. Jarvis also spent 14 years with Xerox in a range of senior management positions in sales and marketing, including as director of corporate strategy.
Jarvis received his BS and an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
Rita Parvaneh, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer at Spireon, Rita Parvaneh joined the company’s leadership team in 2011 as Vice President, Controller. In that role, Parvaneh successfully steered the merger of EnfoTrace GPS, Procon GPS and PFS, LLC as the companies joined resources and expertise to become Spireon, one of the industry’s fastest growing MRM companies in the nation. With her new appointment to Spireon as the CFO, Parvaneh ensures the company’s continued financial stability, sustainable growth and strong position as an industry leader. Among her many duties as CFO, she will be overseeing the development of Spireon’s financial plans and strategies that support the company’s commitment to ongoing research, development, product innovation and industry partnerships that benefit clients across multiple markets and segments.
Prior to joining Spireon’s executive bench, Parvaneh served as Vice President, Controller at both public and private companies whose annual sales ranged from $50 million to $1.7 billion. During her eight plus years tenure at Deloitte and Touche, Parvaneh provided financial services to a wide range of public and private companies in the insurance, banking and software industries. In her last year and half service at D&T, she was elevated into a senior management position. Parvaneh brings this diverse and deep financial experience to Spireon.
A Certified Public Accountant, Parvaneh has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from California State University Fullerton.
Jim Brady, Chief Product Officer
Our Chief Product Officer, Jim Brady, oversees all product management functions for Spireon, Inc., including product vision, execution and improvement. He and his team focus on product strategy, requirements definition, delivery execution, solution performance and product P&L ownership. They create innovative products that solve important problems for our customers, and execute strategic platform roadmaps to exceed our customers’ expectations and offer greater customer benefit across our verticals.
Prior to joining Spireon, Brady was Vice President of Product Management at Mitchell International and founded his own company that creates electronic invoice software to help small- and mid-sized wholesale and manufacturing businesses process payments more quickly. Brady has extensive Product Management leadership experience on applications for both enterprise and small business, and was an integral part of Intuit’s product management strategy for many years.
Jim has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale and an MBA from UC Berkeley.
Sam Balooch, Chief Information Officer
Sam Balooch joins Spireon’s executive team as the Chief Information Officer with more than 20 years of experience working for and leading IT departments for a broad range of companies. As Spireon’s CIO, Balooch is responsible for directing the company’s Network Operations Center (NOC), cloud-based infrastructure, data architecture, business and support systems, and the internal help desk. Balooch’s primary focus is to ensure customers and employees remain connected to their critical data through reliable, high-speed, secure, scalable and flexible technology platforms and services.
Prior to joining Spireon, Balooch served as the CIO for MIND Research Institute for six years. During his tenure there, Balooch developed an industry-leading private cloud educational software platform comprised of the latest Cisco, VMWare and HP 3-Par storage technologies. Balooch’s past experience also includes his role as Vice President of IT at Kintera Inc, a recognized provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to several industries. His management experience extends to such technology leaders as Intuit, Ford Motor Company’s telematics operations Wingcast, and Silicon Graphics Inc. Balooch’s in-depth knowledge and expertise in cloud-based applications and platforms make him a valuable asset to Spireon, our solutions and clients.
Regina Johnson, Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Regina Johnson leads all aspects of Human Capital as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Spireon. Partnering with our senior leadership, Regina leads the Human Capital team responsible for attracting, acquiring, developing and rewarding the Spireon workforce. She also champions key initiatives including engagement, culture, inclusion and wellness.
Prior to Spireon, she spent six years at Core Logic, overseeing various aspects of Human Resources, enterprise Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity & Inclusion for key segments of the multibillion-dollar company. Regina has also supported global teams including Investment Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Treasury and Small Business Banking divisions at Bank of America. She serves on the Advisory Boards for Brandman University and the Moxie Exchange.
Regina earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Organizational Development. She also holds various certifications within in change management, assessment and development.
Jamie Slattery, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering
Jamie Slattery directs Spireon’s software development as the company’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering. In that role, Slattery oversees all aspects of the company’s software product delivery and software engineering, working closely with Spireon’s product management, hardware and IT teams to assure best-in-class software solutions that deliver a superior level of performance, scalability and reliability.
Slattery’s extensive leadership and experience expands Spireon’s in-house software development capacity, allowing the company greater quality control, agility and flexibility to quickly evolve solutions to meet customers’ rapidly changing needs.
With over 20 years of blue chip software leadership experience, Slattery has developed strengths in both innovating technology and leading teams of people. Prior to joining Spireon, Jamie oversaw 225 engineers as the Product Development and Operations Leader at Digital Insight (formerly Intuit Financial Services Division). There, Jamie was responsible for developing and operating digital banking, payments, data analytics, as well as SaaS and mobile platform offerings. While at Intuit, Jamie received innovation and CEO awards.
Jamie’s range of managerial experience stems from his past roles as Director of Operations and Chief Architect for Intuit’s Accounting Professionals Division, Director of Development at CCH Incorporated, and Director of Engineering and Chief Architect at Arthur Anderson/Vertex Inc., where he received numerous awards for his leadership performance. Jamie holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.
David M. Meyer, Executive Vice President, Sales & Services Automotive Solutions
As the Executive Vice President of Spireon Inc., David Meyer oversees all operations for the company’s rapidly expanding automotive solutions group.
Meyer brings over 27 years of industry experience to the Spireon leadership team. Through his tenure as CEO in his previous company, Meyer was instrumental in establishing several of the fundamental building blocks in technology, which we still see in the marketplace today. A former GM of a high volume new car franchise dealership group, a successful owner of Buy Here Pay Here and Powersports dealerships, he understands first-hand the challenges faced by today’s automotive dealers.
Meyer’s hands on field-based experience as well as his entrepreneurial track record, ensures Spireon’s automotive solutions group addresses the evolving needs of customers while allowing them to quickly act on emerging market opportunities.
Steve Blair, Senior Vice President, Sales & Service Asset & Trailer Intelligence
As the Senior Vice President of Sales & Service, Steve Blair is responsible for FleetLocate’s Asset & Trailer Intelligence operations reporting to the CEO. Under his direction, FleetLocate has gained traction as one of the leading transportation management tools in the industry for trailer and asset optimization and business intelligence. Blair’s expertise in automating business processes is integral in developing solutions that dramatically enhance the efficiencies of our trucking and transportation customers.
In working with customers, Blair employs a proven methodology of engagement that delivers the maximum return on investment. In addition to connecting our customers to leading technology, Blair is committed to providing best-in-class customer service that has resulted in many long-term relationships.
Blair brings to his role a wide range of experience in sales, product and market development, account management and customer service garnered as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Global Database Marketing, the Area Vice President of Sales Data Return, the Director of Sales at Boston Scientific, and a Major Account Manager at Xerox Corporation.
Blair graduated from University of Arizona in 1987 with a BA in Marketing.
Ken Creager, Senior Vice President, Sales & Service Fleet
As the Senior Vice President of Sales & Service, Ken Creager is responsible for Spireon’s Enterprise and Local Fleet operations reporting to the CEO.
Joining March 1st of 2014, Creager has over 30 years of global P&L experience with an emphasis on firms where technology and its application have proven to be a key ingredient for success. Directly managing marketing, sales and operations organizations, he has streamlined corporate functions, implementing and integrating CRM and ERP systems. His leadership has generated discernable operational efficiencies and team effectiveness, ultimately driving positive bottom line profits and EBITDA growth.
He is the former President & CEO of MiX Telematics Americas; a SaaS-based vehicle and asset tracking, fleet management and driver safety company based in South Africa. Prior to his time at MiX, Creager held a number of senior executive positions, including CMO & VP of Strategic Accounts and Channels at Enfora, now Novatel Wireless. Additionally, he has held strategic leadership positions at Meru Networks, and executive sales, marketing, product, and project management roles at bellwether companies such as Cisco System and Marconi Communications, as well as Chief Solutions Architect at Delta Air Lines.
Creager attended the University of Memphis and Georgia Tech and is a prestigious, NACD Governance Fellow.
